Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor best known as a character on a cult TV show called Law and Order Special Victims Unit. The actor discovered his fascination for acting in his early days at the university and went on to study acting at The University of Colorado at Boulder. Though he has been active in both films and television, it is his characters on the small screen which earned him a cult fans. He's able to effortlessly play roles of characters from both sides of the law, and captivate the viewers' interest. In his first TV series He played the part of a murderer. Later, he was able to take on the role of a NYPD Detective. His performances on small screens were recognized by multiple Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. He is known for his distinctive piercing, blue eyes which have been said to make him appear attractive. They've helped him play rough characters in a captivating manner. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
